WordPress 2.6.5 is immediately available and fixes one security problem and three bugs. We recommend everyone upgrade to this release.
The security issue is an XSS exploit discovered by Jeremias Reith that fortunately only affects IP-based virtual servers running on Apache 2.x. If you are interested only in the security fix, copy wp-includes/feed.php and wp-includes/version.php from the 2.6.5 release package.
2.6.5 contains three other small fixes in addition to the XSS fix. The first prevents accidentally saving post meta information to a revision. The second prevents XML-RPC from fetching incorrect post types. The third adds some user ID sanitization during bulk delete requests. For a list of changed files, consult the full changeset between 2.6.3 and 2.6.5.
Note that we are skipping version 2.6.4 and jumping from 2.6.3 to 2.6.5 to avoid confusion with a fake 2.6.4 release that made the rounds. There is not and never will be a version 2.6.4.

Kemaren kira sekitar Jam 01:14 AM waktu indonesia bagian timur tepatnya di wilayah samarinda, saya mendapatkan informasi dari sahabat saya danu bahwasanya PAGERANK telah UPDATE!!! Dan ternyata celoteh dot info naik pageranknya menjadi DUA setelah bulan juli lalu tepatnya tanggal 26, dan tentu saja blog temen saya si danu dot web dot id itu tak luput dari kenaikan rangking pula *selamat ya bruurrr*..alhamdulillah, Kenaikan PR ini merupakan salah satu THR-ku yang paling spesial yang pernah ku dapatkan, selain THR yang di berikan oleh SR pertama kalinya *soalnya baru kali ini di acc and berhasil dikerjakan dengan sukses..maklum newbie, *gimana gak kesel, udah hampir setahun kerja tapi gak dapat THR sama sekali, mana gaji di bawah UMR, tapi tak apalah aku mencoba bersabar dengan semua ini.

New Wordpress 2.6.1 release at today *15 august 2008*.. This new Version 2.6.1 had fixed all bugs at 2.6 you can check out a bugs right here and here
This post just information for Wordpress user..nothing specialy reason.. like author said we not recommended for upgrade to 2.6.1

With 2.6.1, we’re continuing our trend of releasing a maintenance release shortly after a major release in order to get fixes for the inevitable “dot zero” bugs into your hands without a long wait. If you’re happy with 2.6, however, keep on using it. You need not upgrade to 2.6.1 if 2.6 is getting the job done.
